ASSOCHAM National Council on SEZs & Industrial Zones 2026–27

Our Managing Partner, Mr. Hitender Mehta, has been appointed as Co-Chairman of the National Council on SEZs & Industrial Zones for 2026–27 at ASSOCHAM.

The Council has been constituted under the leadership of Nirmal K Minda, President, ASSOCHAM, bringing together an accomplished team of industry leaders and domain experts. The Council is chaired by Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City SEZ.

The Co-Chairmen include L. B. Singhal, Former Zonal Development Commissioner, Noida SEZ and Former Director General, Export Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZs, along with Mr. Hitender Mehta, author of “Law & Practice relating to Special Economic Zones” and Managing Partner, Centrum Legal.

This development assumes significance at a pivotal time when India is shaping the SEZ 2.0 policy framework and undertaking broader reforms in the SEZ ecosystem. The constitution of such a distinguished Council reflects strong institutional leadership and a forward-looking approach towards policy evolution.

Mr. Hitender Mehta, along with fellow Council members, will engage closely with government and industry stakeholders to strengthen India’s SEZ framework and contribute to positioning Indian SEZs as global growth engines, aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
